Last night, the La Joya ISD Board of Trustees proudly recognized two outstanding leaders in athletics - Coach Manuel "Ricky" Garcia of Palmview High School and Coach Guadalupe "Wally" Barrera of La Joya High School - for their successful 2025-2026 baseball seasons and their unwavering commitment to student-athletes. ❤️🖤
The Board also honored Coach Garcia for his retirement and remarkable 35 years of dedicated service to education and athletics. Throughout his career, Coach Garcia has impacted countless students, built championship-caliber programs, and left a lasting legacy that will continue to inspire future generations.💫⚾️❤️
