La Joya ISD Takes Early Learning Enrollment Directly to Families Through "Boots on the Ground" Campaign

La Joya, TX - La Joya ISD is taking a proactive approach to early childhood enrollment through its Boots on the Ground Campaign - a community outreach initiative designed to connect families with the district's free Pre-K 3 and Pre-K 4 programs.
Beginning on Monday, June 8, and running through Friday, June 12, district outreach teams will conduct walks across various neighborhoods throughout the community to meet directly with families. Staff members will share information about La Joya ISD's early learning opportunities, answer questions, and assist parents with the enrollment process.

By bringing enrollment support directly to families, La Joya ISD hopes to remove barriers, increase awareness of available programs, and ensure more children have access to a strong educational foundation before entering elementary school.
"Early learning plays a critical role in a child's future success," said Myra Ramos, Executive Director of Early Learning for La Joya ISD. "Through our Boots on the Ground Campaign, we're meeting families where they are, helping them navigate the enrollment process, and ensuring they understand the opportunities available to their children through our Pre-K programs."
La Joya ISD's Pre-K programs provide a safe and engaging learning environment where students develop the academic, social, and emotional skills needed for future success. The district offers high-quality bilingual learning opportunities and transportation services for eligible students, helping make early education accessible to families across the community.

The Boots on the Ground Campaign supports Priority 3: Thriving Students of La Joya ISD's Achieving Excellence Together: 2030 Strategic Plan by helping students begin their educational journey with the skills, support, and opportunities needed to succeed.
La Joya ISD encourages families with eligible 3- and 4-year-old children to learn more about the district's Pre-K offerings and take advantage of the resources available through this outreach effort. For more information about Pre-K enrollment, families may contact La Joya ISD Student Services at (956) 323-2545.
